Biwak 12

The friendly, inviting bed and breakfast with bistro in the middle of Moos - Sexten -Dolomites

If you do the via ferrata around the Zwölferkofel in the Sesto Dolomites, you will suddenly come across a typical red bivouac box at the end, a spartan shelter in the mountains. It is located right here: GPS 46° 36′ 23.497″ N 12° 21′ 48.6″ E. ! Once you get there, you are suddenly overcome by a feeling of adventure, curiosity, freedom and – yes – a little touch of mysticism. This is exactly the feeling we wanted to bring from the mountain to the valley in our Biwak 12, a small bed and breakfast/bistro.

Red bivouac hut in a rocky high-mountain landscape – source of inspiration for Biwak 12 in Sesto and a symbol of shelter, solitude and alpine adventure.

Restaurant

The Biwak 12 is an architecturally very interesting mix of bistro and bar. While the larger, quiet, dark green part serves mainly as a restaurant, the lively, bivouac-red bar area at the front functions as a meeting place for old and young. The original Tyrolean Stube parlour from 1720 has been left unchanged and offers space for smaller groups to eat and enjoy.
